The complete Ferrari F50 CAPRISTO high-performance system is designed to provide a balanced increase in power, drivability, and sound quality, while also significantly reducing weight. This is achieved while maintaining the CAPRISTO "best of both worlds" philosophy, offering the ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving.

This system was designed to maximize performance and sound. Featuring decatized Y-pipes, with pipe lengths ordered in firing order, and an equal-length Y-manifold, the Capristo F50 is the ultimate manifold, modeled and technically designed for the iconic platform. The F50 engine really doesn't like backpressure above 4500 rpm, so using valves will allow the gases to flow through a straight-out, unsilenced runner with a few key differences:
The gases are mixed in an X-pipe before exiting, increasing the scavenging effect and giving the car a smoother, higher-pitched sound. In addition to the new headers, this car will sound sensational and address some of the criticisms leveled at the "toneless, extremely low/mid-rpm noise" of the competition engine, the "underwhelming" sound of the competition mufflers, and, frankly, the "lackluster sound" of the OEM exhaust.
A small amount of gas even in the open valve position will travel through the muffled channel, similar to the OEM exhausts. The muffler is optimized so that it is not only a means of dampening the sound at low rpm, but also increases the F1 howl at high rpm when just in use.
A note on the X-configuration shown in the direct exit channel: that X in the "open valve" channel creates more torque in the mid and high rpm range by essentially creating a vacuum for the gases behind.
Headers: Ø45mm
Y-Headers: 2x Ø50mm
Exhaust channel and X-pipe: Ø60.3mm
Muffler bypass: Ø50mm
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is crafted from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its resonant sound properties, low weight, and durability that are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
PERFORMANCE HEADPIPE:
The headers utilize a 6-3-1 design, and the pipe routing has been significantly modified from stock headers to maximize exhaust flow.
CAPRISTO Heat Shields/Blankets:
The X-Pipe headers and downpipe come standard with the innovative CAPRISTO heat shield. The heat shields are made from an ultra-high heat-resistant material, originally developed and used by NASA. This helps reduce radiant heat from exhaust headers and sports catalytic converters. The shields are heat-resistant for temperatures up to 1300 degrees Celsius.
Reduced heat or temperature in the engine compartment improves performance. Cooler airboxes result in cooler air temperatures for the engine to "breathe." In turn, denser air produces more horsepower.
Because the exterior of the hot, glaring exhaust is protected from the surrounding environment, the shields also reduce the possibility of fire that sometimes results from fluid/oil contact with the exhaust system.
IMPORTANT
*The exhaust system is designed to install directly into existing OEM mounting points*
*Recommended for off-road and track use only*
Since the F50 does not feature dual pre/post cat lambda, you will not see any CELs.
