Basic aesthetic unit garage kit 1222_08_12MB_O for BMW R 1200 GS / ADV 2008-2012

The Kit is compatible with all R1200 GS models from 2004 to 2012. You can restore your motorcycle to its original configuration at any time. Naturally, in addition to the basic R120 G/S KIT, you can upgrade the R120 G/S with other accessories visible in SPECIAL PARTS. The R120 G/S configuration can be equipped with original aluminum ADV panniers with metal frames, or by purchasing our pannier frames code 1220 you can mount the classic original plastic Vario panniers (see configurator). Equipped with TKC or Karoo tires, it will not encounter any obstacles, even off-road, also because the precious original parts are safely stored in your garage. Customize it with the configurator and judge for yourself. The R120 G/S becomes, depending on your tastes, a fantastic replica of the GS of the 80s or an elegant scrambler.

1. Tank cover

The kit offers the cover in two colors, choose the color by clicking on the photo in the configurator. Compatible with R1200 GS versions from 2004 to 2012 (indicate the year of your bike in the configurator). Pair of tank covers in special resin and MAT with carbon fiber reinforcements, ALPINEWHITE white finish, graphics and transparent protection. They give the bike a fantastic vintage look reminiscent of the legendary PD version. Extremely lightweight, it can be assembled very quickly, and is supplied painted in the original colors, complete with holes, screws, rubber pads, a rear mounting bracket, and turned bushings for the front mounting. The right side panel can be quickly removed for air filter maintenance. The rear mounting bracket is equipped with a slot for attaching a tank bag. The tank sides feature an original R1200 GS logo, which can be removed from your motorcycle or purchased from the official spare parts sales network.

NB: the 3 upper M5 clips for connecting the 2 covers are the original ones on your motorcycle, into which the supplied M5 x 12 mm button screws are inserted (do not use the original M5 pointed screws as they may compromise the integrity of the tank).

2. Seat

The kit offers the seat in two colors; choose the color by clicking on the photo in the configurator. Seat made of radio frequency-printed synthetic leather in the rider's seating areas, hand-stitched on the sides with cotton thread. These seats are designed and built for long journeys. Complete with a frame that allows for mounting on original brackets. It retains the lock and therefore the same keys as the motorcycle.

3. Side Panels

The kit offers side panels in two colors; choose your color by clicking on the photo in the configurator. Pair of very lightweight side panels complete with R120 G/S stickers, ALPINEWHITE or MATT BLACK and transparent finish. They are supplied with brackets, rubber pads, and screws and can be mounted without any modifications to the motorcycle.

To avoid damaging the frame's paintwork, a transparent adhesive plastic is provided. They are designed to accommodate ADV bag frames and our original Vario plastic bag supports.

4. Rear fender

The kit offers the rear fender in two colors, choose your color in the configurator. Ultra-light rear fender with ALPINEWHITE or MATT BLACK finish, and clear. It mounts very easily on the original brackets. It comes complete with a rear light with bulb and wiring compatible with the original plug, so no work on the electrical system is required. It comes with rubber grommets for the indicator cables and screws. The original plastic Vario pannier brackets cannot be mounted on the R120 G/S KIT. It is possible to mount the original plastic Vario panniers by purchasing our brackets COD. 1220 in the configurator or in SPECIAL PARTS. The rear mudguard features an original R1200 GS logo (not supplied in the kit) which can be purchased from the official spare parts sales network (Code 51147721222).

NB The case frame hole cover caps (COD. 122509_06) are sold as an optional in SPECIAL PARTS.

5. Front mudguard

The kit offers the front mudguard in three colours, choose the colour in the configurator. It takes inspiration from the lines of the GS belly pan from the 80s, it is offered with an ALPINEWHITE finish, it can be mounted high by fixing it to the appropriate attachments on the front headlight frame Cod. 1216, or low by fixing it in the original position. With the MATT BLACK finish it can only be mounted low by fixing it in the original position. NB it can also be mounted on the R1200 GS and R1200 GS ADV models in place of the original one, giving the bike a very aggressive look.

6. Side covers

Very lightweight, they are offered with an aluminum-colored paint job with a matte finish. They mount on the original brackets and are complete with inserts and fixing screws.

7. Handlebar risers

Special handlebar risers designed and CNC-made by us, machined from solid aluminum alloy with an anodized aluminum finish. Easy to mount on the original housings, they make it possible to mount the front headlight frame Code 1216 of the R120 G/S KIT. With these risers, the position of the handlebars and the upper part of the risers remain the original ones.

8. Headlight

Headlight, fits H11 bulbs (supplied in the kit). The light unit is from the R1200 R model, therefore high performance for night riding. The headlight housing is our own production. It mounts easily on the frame Code 1216. It can be adjusted and is equipped with wiring with a male plug compatible with the female plug of the original system.

9. PRO front headlight frame

Made of steel treated with high-resistance powder paints. It mounts easily on the risers Code 1225 and allows the housing of the front headlight, the high mudguard, the indicators and the optional windshields. To mount the dashboard with tachograph and rev counter, you need to remove and insert the 3 rubber pads on the original frame into the appropriate holes.

10. Fuel tank supports

These sturdy supports allow you to eliminate the original headlight frame + radiator + fuel tank mounting. They mount in the same attachments as the removed frame and are ready to accommodate the original rubber grommets of your R1200 GS. They are made of steel and finished with high-resistance powder paints.

11. Cylinder and engine guard bar

Made of steel treated with high-resistance powder paints. Allows the side radiator to be mounted using the appropriate holes. Easy to assemble, it comes complete with spacer bushings and screws. Most maintenance work can be performed without disassembling the bar. The additional side bar makes it very protective in the event of an off-road fall. NB: It can also be mounted on the original R 1200 GS versions from 2004 to 2012.

12. Oil Radiator Support

Made of steel with high-resistance powder coating, it was designed and built to be attached to our cylinder bar. It also acts as a radiator protector. Complete with screws for fixing to the bar and ready to accommodate the rubbers and bushings of the original oil radiator of your R1200 GS.

13. Oil Radiator

Highly efficient and high-quality aluminum lamellar oil radiator, extremely lightweight and efficient in cooling the engine.

14. Oil Pipe Kit

Complete connecting pipes for housing the oil radiator on the right side of the cylinder bar Code 1211 of the R120 G/S KIT. Complete with original steel clamps, unions and upper copper gaskets for connecting to the radiator. The lower left-hand connection pipe remains the original one.

15. Luggage rack

Luggage rack made of steel treated with high-resistance powder paint. It is very easy to mount using the aluminum spacers and the original screws. It is equipped with practical handles for the passenger.

16. Leather tank strap

Tank strap made of full-grain leather and sewn with nylon thread. Handmade in Italy. It allows you to cover the joint of the tank covers and mount optional accessories. All the parts necessary for assembly are included.

17. Alpinewhite Fenouil windshield

It reproduces the look of the legendary R80 GS PD, adapted and revised for our KITS. Made of ABS, with ALPINEWHITE and transparent finish. It has good aerodynamic protection and comes complete with fixing brackets. Diameter 185mm.

NB: The R120 G/S KIT comes complete with an ASSEMBLY VIDEO, screws and accessories. Some parts have been deliberately kept original and must be removed from your motorcycle. We reserve the right to make any changes to improve the efficiency of the Kit.
