Developed as an upgrade to complete a complete system when combined with the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust, this header is made from high-grade titanium with a carbon fiber heat shield. Designed exclusively for closed-circuit racing, it improves performance and reduces weight.

Larger diameter pipes compared to the standard stock system and the removal of the catalytic converter allow for improved gas flow. The pre-muffler provides a unique sound experience, producing a deep racing tone from the boxer engine. This upgrade results in a weight reduction of 54.84% (3.4 kg) compared to the standard stock. When combined with the Slip-On Line (Titanium), it increases power by 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7,800 rpm and torque by 5.9 Nm at 3,000 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovič dynamometer compared to a BMW R 1300 GS equipped with a standard stock system. Installation is plug-and-play, but remapping is mandatory.

The optional header is also compatible with the standard (original fit) Akrapovič / BMW Motorrad Akrapovič accessory silencer. With the installation of the optional manifold (titanium), the ECE approval for the Slip-On Line (titanium) is no longer valid.

When installing the optional manifold on Euro5+ motorcycles (2 lambda probes), the check engine light will come on after identifying a deviation in the parameters of the standard catalytic converter.
