This feature is achieved using electronically actuated butterfly valves that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At low engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. At full throttle, the valves open, releasing the full symphony of the engine.
The exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure via the factory BMW exhaust valve selector button/mode.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling at our facility in Germany. Each system is crafted from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror-like finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sound resonance properties, low weight, and durability that are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
IMPORTANT
The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing OEM mounting points.
