The complete CAPRISTO 4C exhaust system and carbon package is intended to be a balanced increase in power, rideability and sound quality, not forgetting of course a substantial weight loss via the included carbon fiber rear diffuser and full cover frame. The iconic CAPRISTO valve exhaust system offers the best of both worlds with its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving.
This feature is achieved using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At low engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. At full throttle, the valves open, releasing the engine's full symphony.
The exhaust valves are backpressure-controlled and user-programmable via the included CES-3 control module. The programmable control unit provides 3 modes operated via a remote key fob:
Cruise exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
The sports exhaust valves open at low revs and with strong acceleration
The open exhaust valves remain open
Both Cruise and Sport modes can be individually programmed for specific backpressure tolerances to determine when the exhaust valves open. This allows for precise control of the exhaust to suit the driver's personal taste and tolerance.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling at our facility in Germany. Each system is machined from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror-like finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its resonant properties, low weight, and durability, which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
