These high-performance, dual-flow sport catalytic converters feature a 200-cell per square inch substrate made from the highest-quality materials currently available, designed to improve airflow to your vehicle and increase performance. The Twin-Flow design features a bypass that allows for increased exhaust gas flow (close to a test pipe) while reducing the likelihood of a CEL. That said, Capristo cannot guarantee that a CEL will not appear as the Ferrari 488 ECU is highly sensitive and adaptive. The primary benefit of the Twin-Flow design is that performance approaches that of the test pipe while still cleaning the exhaust gases.
The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The fewer the holes, the larger the hole needs to be to fill a square inch; a larger hole subsequently flows more exhaust gas.
The CAPRISTO valved exhaust system helps low-end torque by providing exhaust backpressure and increasing the temperature for proper catalytic converter operation. In the high-rpm, open-valve condition, it takes full advantage of the free-flowing characteristics of CAPRISTO Twin-Flow sport cats, optimizing high-energy exhaust at the ideal temperature and backpressure for maximum performance.
We recommend purchasing our valved exhaust system with this product and a standard remote control to operate the valves in the exhaust system.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may activate a CEL (Check Engine Light).
To disable a recurring CEL, you will need to tune the ECU or use the Capristo OBD wizard to digitally delete the CEL in the ECU.
