Valve Racing Exhaust with Headers and 250-Cell Sports Catalytic Converter (CES3)
The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing OEM mounting points
This high-performance racing exhaust system from CAPRISTO is designed to fit the Porsche Cayman 986 and 987 (up to 2009) only.

The CAPRISTO high-performance complete system aims to be a balanced increase in power, drivability, and sound quality, while obviously reducing weight. This is achieved while maintaining the CAPRISTO philosophy of "the best of both worlds," which offers the ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving.
This function is achieved using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At lower engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. With the throttle wide open, the valves open, releasing the full symphony of the engine.
The exhaust valves are controlled by backpressure and via the included Valve Controller Remote, which allows permanent flap opening without the serial control intervening. When the exhaust valve system is closed again using the remote control, the serial control unit will regain control of the exhaust valves. This allows for precise exhaust control based on the driver's personal taste and tolerance.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is crafted from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance properties, low weight, and durability that are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
PERFORMANCE HEADLAMPS:
Headlamps utilize a custom design and modified pipe routing compared to stock headers to maximize exhaust flow.
250 CELL SPORT CATALYST:
High-performance sport catalytic converters feature a 250-cell per square inch substrate made from the highest quality materials currently available, designed to improve airflow to your vehicle and increase performance.
The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The fewer the holes, the larger the hole needs to be to fill a square inch; a larger hole subsequently allows more exhaust gas to flow.
All that high flow won't help if the substrate is "squeezed" into a small-diameter container or pipe. For this reason, CAPRISTO sport cats come packaged in 5.2-inch packages to maximize exhaust gas flow and valved exhaust system operation.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may activate a CEL (Check Engine Light).
Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may activate a CEL (Check Engine Light).
To disable a recurring CEL, you will need to tune the ECU or use 02 sensor extensions.
