Ferrari 355 Exhaust Bypass Valve Kit (incl. O-rings)

This valve was specifically built to solve problems previously associated with the failure of the OEM unit. The OEM valve typically failed in the "closed" position, resulting in high exhaust backpressure, which led to thermal damage to the engine and/or cylinder head. The CAPRISTO replacement valve has been redesigned with a different configuration. In the event of a vacuum and/or electrical failure, the valve automatically returns to the open position, relieving excess backpressure. This protects engine components and exhaust manifolds from heat damage.

The system is fully compatible with the optional CAPRISTO remote control. The remote gives the driver the ability to open the valve at will, with the simple touch of a button. A more complete description of the standard remote control for valves can be found in our remote control section.

The standard remote control kit is NOT INCLUDED in this package.

Note to the installer:

Since the CAPRISTO valve uses vacuum to close (OEMs use vacuum to open), make sure the vehicle generates a vacuum pressure of at least 0.7-0.8 bar or 10-12 psi. This ensures the valve closes properly without any noise. All vacuum lines and equipment that rely on vacuum should be inspected if this vacuum is not generated by the vehicle.
