The iconic exhaust system With the CAPRISTO valve, it offers the best of both worlds with its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving.
This feature is achieved using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At lower engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. With the throttle wide open, the valves open, releasing the full symphony of the engine.
The new Capristo exhaust valves on the 992 are electronically controlled and integrate the OEM actuators to maintain factory valve operation via Sport Control.
This allows for precise exhaust control to suit personal taste and driver tolerance without any additional electronics/modules/remotes.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is machined from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sound resonance properties, low weight and durability that are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
