Capristo 02FE02303002 Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifolds with Heat Shields for Ferrari F430

The headers come standard with the new and innovative CAPRISTO heat shield. The heat shields are made of an ultra-high heat-resistant material, originally developed and used by NASA. This helps reduce radiant heat from exhaust headers and racing catalytic converters. The heat shields are heat resistant up to 1300 degrees Celsius.

Reducing heat or temperatures in the engine compartment improves performance. Cooler airboxes allow the air to breathe at a lower temperature, allowing the engine to "breathe." In turn, denser air generates more horsepower.

Since the outside of the red-hot exhaust is shielded from the surrounding environment, the shields also reduce the possibility of fires that can sometimes occur due to liquids/oil contact with the exhaust system.

Heat shields can also be attached to the headers at a later date, without having to disassemble them.

Headers CANNOT be installed and used WITHOUT these heat shields.

If you want to keep the original OEM exhaust (muffler), you must replace the exhaust mounts and brackets with the CAPRISTO mounting kit.
