This is an all-new exhaust designed from the ground up and constructed using race-proven lightweight materials. A carbon fiber muffler outer sleeve, heat shield and clamp, titanium end cap, stainless steel header, resonator and link pipe and a black-coated aluminum muffler bracket create a weight saving of 39.6% (3.2 kg) over the stock exhaust.

The alternative exhaust routing places it on the right-hand side of the machine (the standard version goes under the bike), resulting in a more racing-oriented style, and the carbon fibre heat shield provides heat protection and an eye-catching finishing touch. It delivers increases in power and torque of 4.7 kW (6.4 hp) at 9,200 rpm and 4.7 Nm at 7,650 rpm respectively when tested on the Akrapovič dynamometer and compared to a Suzuki GSX-8S fitted with the standard stock system.
The exhaust features a resonator in the link pipe, giving the rider a unique aural experience with a crisp, racing tone, without compromising performance.
This exhaust system is compatible with the original Suzuki soft side case set.
When installing the Racing Line (Carbon) exhaust system on Euro5+ models, the check engine light will come on, therefore ECU remapping is mandatory.
