The cell count of a catalytic converter refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that converter. The lower the hole count, the larger the hole must be to fill a square inch; a larger hole subsequently allows more exhaust gas to flow.

All that high flow won't help if the converter is "squeezed" into a can or pipe that's too small in diameter. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sports Cats are packaged in 5.2-inch packages to maximize exhaust flow and valved exhaust system operation.

The CAPRISTO valved exhaust system helps with low-rpm torque by providing exhaust backpressure and increases temperature for proper catalytic converter operation. While in the high-rpm open-valve condition, it takes full advantage of the free-flow characteristics of the CAPRISTO Sport Cats by optimizing the high-energy exhaust at the ideal temperature and backpressure to maximize performance.

These exhaust pipes can be bolted to our CAPRISTO exhaust or your stock system.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter(s) may cause a CEL (Check Engine Light) to occur.

To disable a recurring CEL, you will need to tune your ECU or use 02 sensor extensions.
