With the valve closed, the exhaust still delivers a much more aggressive exhaust note than the OEM 430 exhaust. When the valves open, the exhaust sound is significantly improved and will produce a sound similar to the CAPRISTO Racing exhaust.
The iconic CAPRISTO valved exhaust system offers the best of both worlds with its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for around-town driving. At lower engine speeds and during cruising operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. With the throttle wide open, the valves open, unleashing the full symphony of the engine.
The opening or closing of the CAPRISTO valves is controlled by the engine ECU, so they work the same way the original exhaust was designed to work. OEM vacuum hoses fit directly into the CAPRISTO valve system.
Alternatively, the optional wireless exhaust valve remote control can be fitted, providing the ability to open and close the valves at the touch of a button. In the closed state, control is returned to the engine ECU.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending/milling in our factory in Germany. Each system is machined from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sound resonance properties, low weight and durability that are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
IMPORTANT
During installation, it is IMPERATIVE to remove all OEM mounts - you must use the exhaust bracket supplied with the exhaust.
The CAPRISTO-designed mount works so well that we recommend fitting it in place of the original mount system even if the OEM muffler is retained.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL).
To disable a recurring CEL, you will need to tune the ECU or use 02 sensor extensions.
