For the RS6/RS7 C8, we developed an exhaust system that could give the right voice to a car model that made history in its early versions. The twin-turbo V8 engine delivers true supercar performance, except for the sound, which is a hoarse and feeble whisper. To do justice to this impressive engine, we created a hand-polished 309 stainless steel exhaust system consisting of a non-silenced centre pipe, a pair of silenced tailpipes equipped with valves managed by the standard Audi system, and anodized aluminum tailpipes covered in carbon fiber.
Thanks to a reverse engineering-based design, we are able to create a line optimized in terms of both size and exhaust flows. We start with a laser scan of the car's original exhaust line and then create the CAD model. From this model, we obtain the dimensions and dimensions that we need. We then create our CAD project and the first prototypes.
Thanks to this process, we are able to maintain the original backpressure values while improving acoustic performance and performance. The valves are managed by the standard Audi system.
