The C8 Corvette Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings that provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. Not just a another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that recalls the Venturi effect.

The C8 Corvette Eventuri intake sets a new benchmark on this platform for the highest performing intake and largest internal volume available*. With the intake's size and shape limited by the OEM trunk panel, we redesigned it to allow for a larger intake. In doing so, we also constructed it from clear polycarbonate to allow the carbon intake to be visible when the trunk is open. Utilizing our patented Venturi housing concept, airflow is able to negotiate a much less tortuous path through the filters, thus reducing system drag. Additionally, by increasing the overall volume in the intake, flow capacity has also been increased, allowing higher powered builds to maximize performance gains. Intake air temperatures have been minimized by ensuring a sealed system, leveraging OEM air feeds, and utilizing carbon fiber which has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity through the wall thickness. The resulting system provides industry-leading performance gains and a noticeable improvement in throttle response.
Dynamometer Testing
Our C8 intake has been independently tested by Corvette specialists, Paragon Performance in Iowa and also tuning specialists MSL Performance in the UK. The tests were performed on completely stock cars with the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake tested back to back on the same day. Paragon Performance conducted the tests in their closed cell environment while recording fuel temps and trim data. A completely stock C8 was tested with engine temps at a stabilized value and then the car was left on the dynamometer while the intake was installed. After installation, the car was allowed to reach the same temperatures and then the performance data was measured. This ensured that the tests were conducted impartially with equalised variables between the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake.
As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the entire rpm range, not just at peak, which is more important as the increased area under the graph shows that the intake is having an impact beyond the headline figures. This gain even on a production car is evident on the road with improved throttle response and quicker acceleration.
CFD Analysis
A CFD flow analysis was conducted on the intake to optimize the shape for smooth flow and thus reduced drag. The simulation below shows a wide shear plot of velocities across the intake. The streamlines demonstrate how the intake takes the turbulent flow upstream of the filters and shapes the flow to be smooth and linear as it collects and moves through the MAF tube section toward the throttle body. The velocity increases as it moves through the MAF tube but remains laminar and uniform throughout the tube to the engine.
The Eventuri C8 Corvette intake system is made up of a series of components designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with no fiberglass, which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain a smoother airflow. Here are the details for each component and the design ethic behind them:
Each intake system consists of:
FILTER HOUSING PATENTED
The C8 filter housing is designed with 2 of our patented Venturi pods that merge into one outlet. It consists of 2 custom made high flow filters, aluminium caps, laser cut brackets and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse mounted filters and gently shapes the airflow up to the throttle body. This gentle reduction in cross sectional area is reminiscent of the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram showing how our patented design compares to a normal intake system. Further details can be read on the Technology page.
CUSTOM CONE FILTER
To achieve the highest possible flow rate, we have designed a filter element to make the most of the available space in the engine compartment. This new filter has an outside diameter of 192mm or 7.6" and when flow tested with a housing using a 4" opening is capable of flowing up to 900 CFM at 28" H2O. The filter media is ISO tested to ensure the filtration is in line with OEM standards and is also dry. The filter is constructed with our signature flow cones to aid in the Venturi housing principle.
CARBON DUCTS
The ducts direct ambient air from the side vents into the filter housing. To ensure a good seal against engine bay heat, they are attached to the filter housing at 3 points and use a neoprene gasket for an airtight seal. The ducts have been designed to have the maximum internal volume possible within the given engine bay geometry. This ensures that the filter housing is able to draw with the least restriction.
TRUNK PANEL TRANSPARENT
Designing an intake to have a large volume with smooth airflow to the engine wasn't possible with the limited space, partly due to the stock trunk panel, so we redesigned it to accommodate our intake. In doing so, we took the opportunity to showcase the carbon fiber, so we made the panel from clear polycarbonate. This allows a window to see the intake when the trunk is open, an industry first for this platform.
STIRRUP WORK
We have designed a structure to allow the OEM wiring looms to be secured in place and kept out of sight. The bracket work is laser cut from stainless steel and aluminum.
INLET FLANGES span>
Our custom inlet flanges and hoses connect the intake to the stock cold air supplies on each side. This ensures that engine bay heat is kept out of the suction system.
SILICONE JOINT span>
Our silicone joint replaces the stock joint at the throttle body. It fits the OEM throttle body and features internal steps that cover the wall thickness of both the throttle body and the carbon intake for ensure a seamless path through the plenum.
The complete system assembles to provide an intake that improves on the stock airbox in terms of performance, aesthetics and sound.
